About:

Lisa graduated from Delgado Community College in 2000 and received licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in that same year.  Upon graduation she received the award for Most Outstanding Student and served as President of the Student Physical Therapy Association.

Along with business partner, mentor, and long time friend Beth Winkler, Lisa co-founded Magnolia Physical Therapy in 2005 which has now expanded to five locations employing over 60 people.  Since this time, she has received such local awards as New Orleans Magazine’s “Top People to Watch” and the “Distinguished Service Award” given by the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association.  Lisa also received recognition as an Outstanding Alumni in the “Circles of Excellence” Alumni recognition program at Delgado Community College.

Magnolia Physical Therapy has been awarded recognition by Inc, 5000 as one of the top 5,000 fastest growing companies in the country in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.  They achieved the honor of “Top Places to Work” by 2019 by the Advocate and have been chosen to be on the “Best of Gambit” list for “Best Physical Therapist” in New Orleans.

As the President of Magnolia Physical Therapy, Lisa’s ambitions include opening additional practices to better serve the community and helping the general public to become more educated on the benefits of physical therapy.  Being involved in the community through volunteer and fundraising opportunities helps to further this ambition.

Becoming involved in her profession on the state level has been a goal for Lisa as well and she served as the New Orleans District Chair and Louisiana Physical Therapy Association Board member from 2011 to 2013.  Her goals are to increase awareness within the profession as to the benefits of belonging to and, more importantly, being active in, our professional associations.

As a Jefferson Parish resident and business owner, Lisa is intent on helping her community to flourish.  In that regard, she has served on the Elmwood Business Association as Membership Chair and President.  She directed their annual fundraising event, The Taste of Elmwood, from 2012 to 2018.  Lisa serves as a Float Lieutenant for the Krewe of Muses whose charity fundraising raises over $40,000 annually for local charities.  Her passion to serve also is evident in her service to her church, St. John Lutheran Church.  Lisa holds the position of Vice President on the Church Advisory Council.

In her spare time Lisa enjoys early morning workouts with friends, snow skiing, a good game of frisbee on the beach, spending time with her family and friends, and, most importantly, golf!
