Thelma Ceballos Meyers opened her State Farm Insurance agency Dec 2007, as the first Latina State Farm Agent in LA.  Her agency strives to educate the community on insurance and financial services.

 

Thelma obtained her Marketing degree from Tulane University in May 2007. She received her Life Underwriting Training Council Fellowship (LUTCF) designation in January 2015, and her Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designation in October 2017. Thelma became the first AARP Smart Driver volunteer instructor in Louisiana in May 2013, to offer the course in Spanish.

 

She serves as a board member for the AARP Diversity Council, Board member for the Workforce Development Board since Aug 2015, and in February 2016 Thelma was appointed Chairperson for the Operations Advisory Board.

 

Thelma is celebrating 21 years of marriage to Craig Meyers and between the two of them, they have 5 children and 11 beautiful grandchildren.

 

Thelma enjoys spending time with her family, dancing and doing Triathlons with her ‘tri’ family.
